MATT WERTZ is headlining the Life Mission Fashion Show and Concert!

If you haven't seen this amazing performer live, you've probably heard his music on shows like Brothers and Sisters or in movies like My Super Ex-Girlfriend. We are Tremendously lucky that he can come out for the Life Mission Concert and support such an amazing cause.

We are tremendously blessed to be able to say that Isaac Amol will be our featured guest at the Life Mission Concert and Fashion show and will be speaking!

A survivor of the conflict in the Sudan and a gripping speaker, Isaac has devoted his life to helping to aid children who have not been able to escape the terror of the conflict in Southern Sudan.

Also speaking will be Andrew Stearns, the Lieutenant Mayor of Malibu.

People have been asking how they can be involved with this amazing project...so here are the top 5 ways you can make an impact:

1. Attend and bring a friend! All are welcome and it’s going to be an AWESOME show.
2. Donate! We need money (and resources) to make this happen…everything we make from this show is going to help kids. If you have any celebrity, media or donation contacts for us, please email one of the following:

3. Participate in the Freshman Challenge! Whichever freshman dorm buys the most tickets wins a major prize.
4. Participate in the Greek Competition! Whichever Pepperdine Greek group donates the most and/or has the most participants wins major prize.
5. Bring your campus or church group. The more people who come, the more good we can do!
6. Buy a t-shirt! They are made by several designers printed on non-sweatshop American Apparel, look great, and every time you wear one you'll be reminded that your t-shirt helped save a child.
7. Spread the word! Talk it up-at school, with your family, at Ralphs-wherever it occurs to you-and keep talking!

Thank you for visiting us to support the Life Mission Fashion Show and Concert.

In case you are wondering what we actually are, I just wanted to tell you a little about the event:

What we are: A concert and fashion show to raise funds and awareness about forms of modern day slavery through ticket sales, donations, media attention, and selling items made by the very people the show supports. One individual from each Pepperdine campus organization will be highlighted as a model in the fashion show. Come support your friends!

Who is involved: YOU, Pepperdine Students, Southern Californian Guests, Donors, Survivors of the warfare in the Sudan and Thai sex trafficking, Celebrities, Musicians, Fair-Trade Clothing Designers, and Other University Guests.

Where: At Pepperdine University's 30 acres of rolling green hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean, known as "Alumni Park".

When: Sunday, November 2, 2008, from 2pm to 7pm.

Why:

-Over 25,000 Sudanese children (ages 3 and up) have been kidnapped and forced to kill their families and one another in a war they don't understand and for which they aren't responsible.

-In 2005, 9.5 million people were trafficked in Asia alone. the majority of these victims are children, kidnapped and forced into the sex trade. .

-We're a part of a global community and we believe God has instructed us "as you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me."

We thank you for your heartfelt consideration and support of this show and most importantly, these children.
